Following Location and Rotating to Heading

Maps n Trax can keep the Map View centred on your current location if location services are enabled and follow mode is on.  It can also keep the map oriented so that the top of the map is the direction that the device is pointing in and the map rotates as the device rotates.

To Toggle Follow Mode

  • Tap the Follow Mode item in the bottom toolbar of the Map View to toggle through the three follow modes (off, on and on with heading).

The Follow Item will change its appearance to indicate the current Follow Mode.

If the Follow Mode is not off but the current location cannot be determined, the Follow Item will indicate that Follow Mode is on but cannot currently determine the location by displaying the Follow Error item with a ‘?’ in the middle of the circle.
