• Easier to move waypoints displayed as pins (triple tap pin – it will turn purple to indicate it can be moved – then press/hold on the pin and drag it to the new location).
• Display of waypoint titles is optional (per-track), reducing display clutter.
• Searching can be used to locate arbitrary coordinates, as well as stored waypoints.
• Waypoint notes are displayed beneath waypoint titles on the map view (when a waypoint marker is tapped).  If there is no note, the waypoint coordinates are displayed instead.
• Toolbars are re-displayed when re-entering foreground for quicker access to any function after re-activing.
• Can handle a greater number of waypoints and tracks being visible simultaneously.

• If either the Maps or Tracks database becomes unreadable (eg, corrupted), the database is deleted and initialised with a new empty database automatically (and the user is notified).  Where possible, the maps are exported to the Document Store first, from whence they can optionally be re-imported.
• If the application fails to complete launch (ie, does not get as far as displaying the map), the next attempted launch will use “Safe Mode” where the Maps Manager is displayed initially instead of the Map Viewer.  This gives users the opportunity to hide (or delete) atlases, maps, directories or tracks that might be causing problems with display of the Map View (eg, tracks with several thousand waypoints can use excessive RAM causing the application to be killed by the OS).
