Timber Mod Review
Timber! Is a great time saving mod and will significantly reduce the time it takes to gather wood.
Effect
Timber! Allows the player to chop down 1 block of wood from a tree and the rest of the Wood Blocks will be destroyed, this is ideal for faster gathering.
Mod Manager
Even though Timber! Is a very simple mod it does require a Mod Manager to use. I suggest Forge Mod Loader (FML) but the original ModLoader will work as well.
Negative Effects
One major flaw Timber has is player placed Wood Blocks will be affected when cut down. Take for example a house; I like to build a house with a Wood frame – however if I misplace a Wood block and I need to get rid of it as soon as I take a swing with my axe most if not all of my wood frame will collapse.
Any Wood blocks connected to the block you destroy will be affected whether you placed it or not. This can be quite annoying at times, as we tend to make mistakes when placing blocks and Wood blocks sometimes face the wrong way. I would really like to see a feature that will eliminate this pitfall. Any player placed blocks should not be affected by Timber!

This mod is really useful.
Although it can break your entire house if its made out of wood
You should take a look at a similar mod: “Treecapitator”. It has the same pros as Timber, but also destroys the leaves and drops saplings/apples. Fixes the “con” with a safety button for single blocks
