What is Scenter?

Scenter is a “locator” mod that helps you locate certain types of ore – however Scenter does this in a different manner than most other “locator” mods. Instead of displaying a grid or a compass you simply activate Scenter and a trail will lead you to the exact location of the ore.

 

How it works

Activate Scenter with the “O” key and immediately you’ll “sniff” out the designated ore. Press “O” again to cycle through the different types of ore.

When you get to the ore you wish to locate you need to either right-click or left-click to keep the trail visible. Each trail is color coded to the ore you are seeking out, for example Diamond will be light blue while Emerald will be green.

What happens when more than one of the same type of ore is nearby? Scenter will simply guide you to the ore nearest you. So if you’re searching for Iron Ore, which is usually in a cluster, Scenter will bring you to the nearest block within the cluster.

A great feature implemented in Scenter is the ability to ADD ore to the mod by editing the configuration file within Scenter.
