In this article I will be talking about the updates added in 1.6! lets begin!

\nFirst of all the main part of this update is horses added! Although this is a large update! In general I could see the difficulty in coding horses, and making them fun to ride without increasing lag\/glitching! Mojang has done an Excellent job in adding them, making PvP very different! But another difficulty is the fact that horses can\u2019t swim, so your cant go from island to island, so if you want to PvP you will have to have a horse egg, or a command or something to get one to the main island (to PvP you would need to be on a server of course!)!<\/p>\n
Another interesting thing to add with the horses, there are also mules and a large variety of colors that they spawn in, so some time can be spent testing with them!<\/p>\n
And a much larger addition that I LOVE, is they took texture packs out, and replaced them with resource packs! Making it much easier to add your own sounds, and much more! Making this update HUGE! Although this won\u2019t be as big to some, it\u2019s huge in making a server, and has always been limited, expect large servers with resource packs that make the game all the better!<\/p>\n
For example I will be talking about a very common Capture the Flag Server, think about it, if they add more sounds like the sound of a insta-kill was always this clunking sound like a tool braking, because of the fact that they can\u2019t use other sounds other then built into minecraft (unless you make someone download your sounds!) but now just have a resource pack that allows those server owners to choose from a very wide range of UNLIMITED SOUNDS! It\u2019s really the best part of this add on, in my opinion!<\/p>\n
Although I know many people love the horses and all, but the new packs are very hard to beat!<\/p>\n
Also another interesting upgrade, Is the New launcher, which allows you to pick from any previous update that you have on your PC (like 1.5) and if you get tired of the new things added just go back in time by downloading a new jar, and you don\u2019t have to erase one just to get the other one on! Easy as that, now also another interesting thing to note, minecraft opens the launcher first then opens the real minecraft window after you login! Also the launcher doubles as a sort of a log of all that has happened in chat and other things like errors! (the first window is closeable, once minecraft is opened!)<\/p>\n
