Soldiers<\/span><\/p>\n

The Civil War mod adds Confederate and Union soldiers to Minecraft, these soldiers don a hat, boots and a chest plate. You can distinguish which side they are on by the design of their chest plates. All of the soldiers have \u201cSteve\u201d skins\/textures. Each faction spawns according to each biome and if they cross paths they will attack one another so look out!

Coins<\/span><\/p>\n

Coins are added in-game and can be used to recruit soldiers to your army. You simply equip the appropriate coin (Union or Confederate) then \u201cuse\u201d the coin on the soldier you wish to recruit. 1 Coin will recruit 1 soldier. A recruit will follow you around and attack anything you attack just like a pet Wolf.<\/p>\n

Uniforms<\/span><\/p>\n

Uniforms are randomly dropped upon the death of a soldier. You may get pants, boots chest plate or a hat. You can pick up and wear dropped uniforms or create your own by crafting them from the new \u201cCloth\u201d item.<\/p>\n

Guns<\/span><\/p>\n

All soldiers are armed with guns and use them as a primary means to attack – don\u2019t feel that you\u2019re out of the action however; you can craft your own Revolver and Musket to join in on the gunfight. Both guns require \u201cMusket Balls\u201d to fire.<\/p>\n

Revolver: 4 Iron Bars + 1 Flint and Steel<\/p>\n

Musket: 1 Gun Barrel, 1 Revolver, 1 Stock<\/p>\n

When firing a gun the animation is much like that of the Bow and Arrow however unlike the Bow and Arrow you don\u2019t have to compensate as much for distance. The gun does have a range limit considering its meant to be a Civil War musket but when you aim for a body part you\u2019re going to hit it opposed to the Bow and Arrow where you have to aim a bit higher.<\/p>\n

I also like the sound effects the guns produce, they sound pretty good overall but I\u2019d like to see some blood animation when I shoot someone. This mod offers soldiers, guns, uniforms and coins, which adds a bit more excitement to the world of Minecraft.<\/p>\n
